How to AUTOMATICALLY display pictures arriving by photo-mail ?
by Pixstar ~ 14 February 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized.Pix-Star is designed to work automatically so that it can be used easily by anyone even without any “digital expertise”.
If you go the “settings” menu then to the “system info” sub-menu you can choose between 3 different behaviours for your Pix-Star to receive photo mails. By default your frame is configured in “manual mode”, this means when a photo mail arrives, a sound is played and a small envelop display on the top right of the screen. Then Pix-Star waits for you to press the “open inbox” key on the remote control which will open the photo mail inbox.
Beside this mode you can choose between 2 others automatic modes. One is called “automatic mode” and the other one is the “information” mode. When in automatic mode your Pix-Star will accept automatically any incoming photo mail and put the picture in the default “inbox” slide show. There is NO notification to the user and ALL incoming photo mail are accepted.
Using the “information mode” is the same as the “automatic mode” except that a sound is played and the photo mail opens AUTOMATICALLY and during 10 seconds displays the picture before accepting it automatically. During this 10 seconds period, if the user is next to the frame, he/she has the possibility to REFUSE the photo mail (same as with the “manual mode”).
This last mode is probably the most suitable for people that do not want to get things too complicated. This is particularly suitable if you offer the frame to a person without a strong ability to manipulate electronic devices. You can then make sure that all pictures that arrive on the device will be added to the default slide show automatically.
